Central Valley Gymnastics Team Shines at the PA Classic

by Sam Cercone on February 23, 2026The Central Valley Gymnastics Team delivered an outstanding performance this weekend, earning a third-place team trophy in the Gold Division at the PA Classic Gymnastics Team Championships. Competing among seven of the top qualifying teams in the highest team division, Central Valley proved it belongs among the state’s elite programs.In addition to the team success, Central Valley athletes brought home an impressive 14 individual state medals and trophies across three divisions.In the Diamond Division, Elise Nalli earned an 8th-place finish on Vault and an impressive 3rd-place medal on Beam. Bria Zelesnik had a strong all-around showing, placing 6th on Bars, 2nd on Beam, and 3rd in the All-Around competition.In the Gold Division, Peyton Davidson captured 6th place on Floor, while Jenna Zurynski placed 8th on Vault, 11th on Beam, and 11th on Floor.The Silver Division was highlighted by Jordyn Thompson, who claimed the State Championship&

Strong relationships are important for everyone, but especially for young people. Student athletes have a unique opportunity to offer mentoring support to their peers to help them learn and grow -- on and off the field! Central Valley recognizes the importance of relationships for our students, and we're thrilled to announce that our very own Adam Shroads has been honored with the Jerome Bettis Leadership Award, presented by the Pittsburgh Steelers, The Mentoring Partnership, Giant Eagle, and The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette. This award recognizes high school football players from around the region who go above and beyond to be leaders in their community and offer support and encouragement to their teammates and peers. As part of this recognition, Adam will be honored in an on-field ceremony during an upcoming Steelers home game. The park’s winding trails and scenic terrain provide both a beautiful backdrop and a demanding course that will test runners’ endurance and strategy. Competing here gives the program a true home-course advantage, as athletes become familiar with the layout and community supporters can cheer them on in a consistent, local setting.
